Paper Currency during King Saud’s reign

In 1953 SAMA ,issued its first paper currency in the form of Pilgrimage Vouchers, which can be bought by pilgrims from exchange bureaus .first issue was the ten Riyal Category, then it was reissued again, plus two new one, and five Riyal categories

On 14/16/1961 , a Royal Decree no,(6) issued by King Saud introducing the first Regular paper currency in five categories : ( one Riyal, five Riyals ten Riyals, fifty Riyals, and one hundred Riyals)
